Self-sizing manager. Figure 1 shows the execution scheme of the server provisioning manager. The CPU utilization of the machines hosting the replicated servers are measured and a moving average is computed. If this moving average is higher than the fixed maximum threshold, the manager adds a new server on one unused machine. If the moving average is less than the fixed minimum threshold, the manager removes a server and turns the machine running the stopped server off.
